Why is the heading inaccurate?

The compass needs to be calibrated. Turn it like the figure 8.

Since the app relies on the magnetometer of your phone, there can be problems within buildings, boats, trains or similar constructions influencing the geomagnetic field.

Some devices are more accurate than other ones. This app was mainly tested on a Lumia 620, 800 and 820.

Sorry, Compass doesn't run on the Lumia 520, 525, 530, 535, 540, 625, 630, 635 or other devices without a built-in magnetometer.
